Apple has brought down the price its going to pay for Beats. Apple was set to originally pay $3.2 billion for the popular headphone and speaker maker, it will now pay $3 billion instead. According to Claire Atkinson of the New York Post, "Apple hadn't even begun its due diligence process when news of the number came out." a person close to the deal told Atkinson. The deal is expected to be announced next week at Apple's developer conference, WWDC. Three reasons why Apple is interested in the company is because it is a high margin headphone business, it has a streaming music service, and it gets Iovine to run its content strategy.
