Germany's largest power supplier; E.On (EOAN:Xetra) net income fell 42% compared to last year in the quarter ending in June as sales fell 3%. Low wholesale power prices and a rise in alternative energy sources will continue to hurt the companies profits. I think this is one for the first signs of the squeeze energy companies will be feeling from the rise of new energy sources such as fracking.
