PayPal, the online payments company, is acquire Israeli cyber security company CyActive for $60 million. Cyactive, says it can forcast future cyber attacks and offer companies such as utilities detection and prevention, got an investment from the venture capital unit of Siemens SIGEn.DE in September. Siemens partnered with Jerusalem Venture Partners, in Israeli venture capital firm, in investing in CyActive was the majority shareholder in another cyber company, CyberArk Software, which went public on the Nasdaq in September. This is PayPal’s second purchase in Israel, it bought FraudSciences, which monitors financial fraud, in 2008 for $169 million.
