Microsoft Corp. (NYSE: MSFT) announced price cuts for their web services, in a attempt to keep up with the industry leader Amazon.com (NYSE: AMZN) in cloud computing. As of Nov. 1, the software maker will offer discounts for its Windows Azure cloud service, and offer annual payment plans for customers signing long term contracts. Microsoft has vowed to stay competitive with rival's prices for public cloud products that allow customers to store and run apps from the internet.
