Nokia has agreed to buy a portion of Panasonic’s telecoms network business in order to boost operations in Japan. The acquisition includes Panasonic’s mobile phone wireless base station system business for operators and wireless equipment network. The deal is expected to close at the start of next year. Nokia Networks executive Ashish Chowdhary said, the deal will “add significant value for Japanese operators” The value of the deal has not be disclosed.
