In an attempt to reduce debt and buy back shares Apache Corp. (NYSE:APA) is selling oil and natural gas assest it owns in Alberta, Canada to Ember Resources Inc. for $214 million. The sale includes the Nevis along with the North and South Grant Lands areas, 530,000 net acres and over 2,700 wells that produced 67 million cubic feet of gas a day on average. Apache is planning the sell $4 billion is assets by the end of the year, so I'm sure we will be hearing about more deals in the months to come. There has been plenty of noise coming from the energy sector in Canada lately, it might be time to pick a winner, any suggestions for me guys?
