ARM Holdings, a British chip designer, has acquired Dutch firm, Offspark. Offspark is a specialist in security software for the Inter of Things. Offspark’s PolarSSL technology is deployed in sensor modules, communication modules and smartphones, according to ARM. Buying the group would add to ARM’s security and software cryptography to its IoT platform, designed to link billions of devices online. The terms of the deal or how much it is valued have not been disclosed.
