Larry Ellison is taking a pay cut in his new role at CTO at Oracle. In 2014 Ellison was paid $67.3 million in stock options, which was lower than the $78.4 million he made the year before. When it was reported how much he makes off stock options, investors bucked and demanded the firm stop paying him so much in stock options. In 2012 Ellison made $96.2 million in stock options. New co-CEO Mark Hurd and Safra Catz are also taking pay cuts raking in $37.7 million this year. Down from the $44 million each made last year off stock options.
