Apple announced a new partnership with IBM that will help the company increase the presence of its iPads and iPhones in the enterprise. The deal will play off the strengths of both firms. Apple will get access to IBM's sales force who will be selling iPhones and iPads to its business customers. While IBM will develop cloud services optimized for iOS; Apple operating system for its mobile devices. In return Apple will provide hardware support for devices through a type of AppleCare program for big businesses buying Apple gadgets in bulk. The iPhones and iPads bought through this program will come with IBM's MobileFirst platform, which comes with plenty of productivity tools big companies need.
