Bank of America Merrill Lynch sent out a memo this week that requires its low level employees to take four weekend days off a month. This decision comes months after a 21 year old inter for the bank died last summer. Last August 21 year old Moritz Erhardt died after a bad episode with epilepsy, the episode was blamed on lack of sleep. It is believed that Erhardt worked three all nighters in a row in the days leading up to his death. The long hours that he worked were blamed for his death. According to the new rules the bank's analysts and associates who are all junior level employees must get permission from senior managers if they don't want to take those four weekend days off.
