Canada's largest wireless carrier, Rogers Communications Inc. reached a 12 year deal worth $4.9 billion with the National Hockey League for the broadcasting rights in the country starting in the 2014-2915 season. The deal marks the first time the NHL has allowes all of its Canadian rights to a single broadcaster. The deal is still has to be approved by the NHL's board of governors.
