In the last quarter Apple's iPhone was 17.6% of smartphone shipped worldwide. While android phones were 78.1% of devices shipped. Despite having such a small portion of the market Apple still has 87.4% in smartphone profits according to analyst Travis McCourt. While Samsung earned 32.2% of smartphone profits. That's equals to over 100% and according to McCourt that's because other smartphones makers are working at a negative so they earned negative profit share.
