Yahoo's CEO Marissa Mayer has begun laying off under performing employees at the tech company. Mayer became the CEO of Yahoo over a year ago and implemented a new employee performance. The reviews were created as a sort of critera for which employees were no longer need. According to reports any employee who has rated 'misses' or 'occasionally misses' at least twice in the last five quarters is at risk to being fire. There are currently 500 yahoo employees who are in danger of being fired by the new review standards. There is a industry ethos that Yahoo's workforce is way too big already they currently employ 15,000 people world wide. Some analyst believe Yahoo would be better off with a workforce of 5,000 employees.
