Airbus has already surpassed its full year gold of selling 1,000 aircraft in the first nine months of 2013 according to sales chief John Leahy. Japan Airlines announced today they ordered 31 Airbus A350s and 13 of the largest version of the plane, the 365 seat A350-1000, in their first ever transaction with the European plane maker. Airbus has posted 1,112 order between the months of January and now and Leahy believes they can reach 1,200 before the years end. Airbus' order from Japan Airlines is a hit to their main competitor Boeing.
