Rovio, the Finnish mobile games maker behind the popular game Angry Birds, is planning to cut 130 jobs. This margin represents 16% of the firms workforce. The company has expanded the Angry Birds franchise through a new animated TV series plus toys and a clothing line. There is even an Angry Birds movie in the works, it is expected to premier in 2016. Mikal Hed, Rovio's Chief Executive said "We have been building our team on assumptions of faster growth than have materialized. As a result, we announced today the we plan to simplify our organization. We also need to consider possible employee reductions."
