Oversea Chinese Banking Corp. it planning to raise $2.7 billion from its existing shareholders in order to raise capital after acquiring Wing Hang Bank Ltd. The bank said it may look to more fund raising as a way of generating capital. Oversea Chinese Banking is Singapore’s second largest lender. Chief Financial Officer Darren Tan said “Capital raising continues to be an option.” Chief Executive Samuel Tsien also added the bank could use non-core asset sales as an way to raise capital.
